Buddha Point

Buddha Point, also known as Kuensel Phodrang, is a significant landmark located in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. It is home to a massive statue of Buddha Dordenma, standing 51.5 meters tall, making it one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. The statue, which overlooks the Thimphu valley, is made of bronze and gilded with gold, symbolizing peace and prosperity. Inside, it houses over 125,000 smaller Buddha statues. The site is a popular pilgrimage spot for locals and a key attraction for tourists due to its spiritual and cultural significance.
