Arrive in Paro and spend the day acclimatizing. Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and explore Paro town. Rest overnight in preparation for the trek.
Begin your trek from Paro to Jele Dzong (3,480m). The hike takes you through forests of pine and rhododendron, offering panoramic views of the Paro Valley. Camp overnight near the Jele Dzong.
Continue trekking to Jangchulakha (3,770m). The trail offers stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and passes through alpine forests. Camp near a yak herders’ settlement.
Trek to Jimilang Tsho (3,870m), a beautiful alpine lake known for its giant trout. Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and camp by the lake.
Continue trekking past several smaller lakes to Simkotra Tsho (4,110m). The route offers spectacular views of Mount Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan. Camp near the lake.
